Privacy & Cookie Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and how we use cookies and advertising tools.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. Who we are

This policy explains how [LeadTap legal entity name] (“LeadTap”, “we”, “us”), company number [company number], registered at [registered address], handles personal data in connection with our website www.leadtap.uk and our lead-generation services.

For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), LeadTap is the data controller for the personal data described below. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration [ICO registration number].

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@leadtap.uk.

2. What data we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our eligibility quiz, enquiry form, or book a call, we collect:

  • Your name, email address and phone number;
  • Details about your business (such as industry, monthly revenue, growth goals and other answers you provide in the quiz);
  • Any other information you choose to send us.

Information we collect automatically. When you use the site we may collect:

  • Your device and browser type, and IP address;
  • Pages viewed, actions taken, and how you move through the site (via our own first-party analytics);
  • How you arrived — referring website, and marketing attribution parameters such as UTM tags and click identifiers (e.g. Google Click ID);
  • Information stored in or read from cookies and similar technologies (see §6).

3. How we use your data & our legal bases

We use your personal data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and qualify your business for our services — on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in assessing fit;
  • Provide and manage our services to you if you become a client — to perform our contract;
  • Contact you about your enquiry by phone, email or message — on the basis of your request and our legitimate interests;
  • Measure and improve our advertising and understand which campaigns work — on the basis of your consent to advertising and analytics cookies (see §6);
  • Operate, secure and improve the website — on the basis of our legitimate interests and, where required, your consent;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, and with advertising platforms as described below:

  • GoHighLevel — our CRM and communications platform, which stores your contact details and manages our follow-up with you.
  • Our own analytics system — we record site behaviour and lead information in our own database to measure performance and manage enquiries.
  • Vercel — our website hosting provider.
  • Google (Google Ads / Google Tag Manager) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising and measurement platforms, where you have consented to advertising cookies.
  • OpenAI — for advertising measurement, we send a securely hashed (pseudonymised) version of your email address so OpenAI can match conversions from its advertising. We do not send OpenAI your raw email address or your phone number.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers (including Google, Meta and OpenAI) are based in, or transfer data to, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies & similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them, and similar technologies, in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. security and load balancing). These do not require consent.
  • Analytics — our first-party analytics, which help us understand how the site is used. Set only with your consent.
  • Advertising — set by Google, Meta and OpenAI to measure ad performance and conversions. Set only with your consent.

We ask for your consent to non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies before they are set, via the consent banner shown when you first visit. You can change your choices at any time [via the “Cookie settings” link], and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above — for example, for the duration of our relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and legitimate business needs, after which it is deleted or anonymised. [Confirm your specific retention periods here.]

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
  • Restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
  • Data portability, in certain circumstances;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@leadtap.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

9. Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check back periodically.
